taken by my photographer
...Is a joint effort between my photographer, JHM, and myself. He has not only the quality kit, but quality ideas too.
His sound knowledge of so many parts of Wales also bring about many great potential shoot locations. More images will be added as I prep them for the site.
I'm not altering my body shape or skin - so expect stretchmarks, cellulite, scars, stubble and spots.
Images here will go though Photoshop, but only for more subtle burning of shadows and contrast to help showcase the beautiful and world-known and loved landscapes and landmarks around us
Don't forget - we have castles.
Lots of castles...
We both fancied getting out in the beautiful countryside around us one afternoon in June, 2022. The 16th, to be precise.
My photographer knew a place he wanted us to try. So, I quickly grabbed a selection of clothes and, neither of us knowing what sort of shots we were going to take or if anyone would ever see them aside from ourselves, we headed to a stretch of the River Usk (yes, we're capitalising the 'R' in this part of Wales), near a gorgeous stone bridge we want to use for a darker-themed shoot one day - or night...
The heat of Summer 2022 hadn't hit the UK yet, and it was cooler that day than the many I had been lucky enough to spend picnicking next to, paddling in, swimming in and damming parts of the mighty Usk. In my early teens, I jumped on horseback over big tree trunks and other bits of driftwood left from floods that would fill the entire valley's flat floor and we were reminded of the true power of this watery Welsh artery.
The swimming stopped the year I stepped on something to climb back onto the river bank, it gave way beneath my young weight and I realised I was now standing, knee-deep, with one foot inside a sheep's decaying ribcage.

Details can't be disclosed here and now for various reason, but in 2006 my left ankle dislocated, I fell and sustained a life-changing injury. Spending nearly ten years bed-, sofa- or housebound meant the 'Outdoor Clothes', as they would come to be known, I had from that time weren't worn much and are now appearing in some shots on this site.
I've reached that age where fashions from the past are once again en vogue. This shoot was the last time I'd wear this little turquoise, floral cover-up from the Noughties because the elastic holding it up has given up the ghost and is not safe!
The skirt did have a burgundy cotton lining, but I removed it. I bought this when I was turning thirty and decided I wanted to start wearing more stereotypically feminine things. Heels were also part of that fashion plan - always a bad idea.
You'll see some shoes from that time on this site too.
